I remember everything like it was yesterday,
Your arrival was like a clear sky after a dark storm,
A new sunrise that brought hope and faith,
You brought a smile to the cold face of mine,
And with your charms, you enchanted me.
But this day you have brought nothing but grieve,
A friend that promised to be there is nowhere near,
I have been swayed away by your empty promises,
You left me with nothing but regret,
Had I know, I would have looked somewhere else.
